How it works …

Step One – Get a library card!

In order to use New Cross Learning’s book borrowing service you need to be registered with Lewisham Libraries. You can sign up for a library card at New Cross Learning, or any of the Lewisham libraries. You can also sign up online, just follow the link and make sure you choose ‘New Cross’ as you local centre. Join the library service here.

Step Two – Find a book and get reading!

Around two thirds of our stock belong to Lewisham Libraries. You can search the Lewisham Library database to find what we have available by following this link. On this same site you can locate books at other libraries and have them sent to New Cross Learning. In addition to the Lewisham Libraries catalogue New Cross Learning has an extensive stock of books donated by the local community. Here you will find a broad collection of fiction and non-fiction, including some specialist topics including a growing section on philosophy and the hugely popular ‘Books to Change the World With’. Speak to any of the NXL volunteers to find out what we have in stock.
